Global Game Jam 2011 is over and together with my colleagues and chiptune-master Stu we created a fun little co-op shooter called APOCA as you can see above. Want to try it? You can download the Flash file at globalgamejam.org. I’d embed it, but as we wanted to join in with the Winnitron 1000 competition, the game runs at a 1024×768 resolution. Not exactly embed-friendly. :)
After the landgrab of registering a name with about.me, I figured I might as well do that also with the .me-domain du jour: threewords.me.
While about.me is basically a catch-all profile-linking page dressed up in a domain name that makes sense, threewords.me is different in that you don’t give anything away about yourself. Instead you ask people to describe you. In three words. Hence the domain name.
Results so far have been predictable at best, with ‘Transformers’, ‘nerd’ and ‘creative’ ranking in as the top 3. That’s a good thing, but at the same time either I’m an open book or I need more… evocative friends? Nah, probably just the former. Former. Trans. You know.
Anyway, feel free to open up your own and watch the masses whittle you down to a handful of concepts. It’s kind of fun.
