Weekend warking

Weekend warking

Happy Daylight-Saving Day! Or whatever you tend to call it. Not that I noticed anything unusual about it. My 'timing' is off anyway because of a 20:00 till 08:00 gaming session with some friends, which started last night. It resulted in numerous Steel Battalion boot-up sequences, some monkeys in transparent plastic balls, flying Dragons saving the world through the use of luminous oscillators, a lot of MAG feeding with Phantasy Star 'Offline' and some one-on-one fighting courtesy of Dead or Alive 3.

All in all, a very good time. Although my head claims otherwise at the moment...

Also nice to note was that yesterday was pretty busy at the shop. The GameBoy Advance SP is selling at a rate that will make Nintendo-bobo's jump up and down in an "I told you so" fashion. Quite different to Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball then. We sold three of them last Friday and they were all returned on Saturday.

People apparently aren't liking the aspect of not having much to do in a game. Because (believe it or not), the three buyers, bought it as a "Volleyball game with tits on". Judging by their reactions (and by the reactions of people testing the game instore), it's "tits, tits, tits with severely lacking volleyball aspect"). One begins to wonder if Microsoft should have promoted it as Xbox' Animal Crossing, instead of 'naughty volley ball game'. As of yet people seem disappointed and apparently 'sex does not sell'. Of course this is only based on experiences in the shop here (but we did sell three Steel Battalions or so which is a bit extraordinary), so I guess we'll have to wait for the charts to be sure.

Meanwhile, I'm making myself some noodles. Or maybe I should go watch a DVD or something. Or maybe I should just go and sleep. Or ehm, something.
